Welcome!

 Dear Parents and Guardians,

My name is Kaileigh DiMichele and I am writing to you to introduce myself as your child’s teacher for the 2023-2024 school year. I am so excited to be back at school and looking forward to a great year ahead. I am confident your child, their peers and I will work together to foster an amazing environment that will help your child learn, succeed and grow.

To start off I wanted to share a little bit of background on myself and where I have come from educationally. I went to Brock University to complete my Bachelors of Science degree (Math) and then moved on to teachers college at Brock as well.

One of my many goals for this year is to create an environment that fosters a sense of community, friendship and inclusivity so that each child has the ability to learn effectively and efficiently. I want your child to be able to explore their own way of learning with peers who support and encourage them. Helping students support one another is an area I feel extremely passionate for as it helps them to feel confident in trying new materials, techniques and/or exploratory items without feeling embarrassed or ashamed. I want each student to interact with each other positively and build friendships to grow with, if possible.

Looking toward the way we learn, I am including technology within the classroom so not only can the students use pencil and paper they have the ability to learn to navigate technology as well. I want to ensure that they are on the path to success in this technologically advanced world we live in. With this we will be able to explore new activities and increase participation in the classroom exponentially.

To keep you updated with your child’s learning please refer to the daily schedule I have attached in order to ensure your child is ready to learn everyday! This can help you stay up to date on any extra projects, reading materials or items they may need to bring to school.

I have also created a Blog for parents to view and keep up with to see their child’s schedule and what they are learning, do and exploring in the classroom. This also includes an area for parents and resources they may need to look at for their child.

Please contact me if you have any questions or comments!

I look forward to meeting many of you and teaching your child this year.

Have a great day,

Kaileigh DiMichele
